PIOVESAN, Frances (née Car)
October 29, 1934 – September 02, 2012
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, nonna, sister and friend Frances Piovesan (née Car) on September 2, 2012. Amazingly talented and accomplished, she was a fierce protector and nurturer of her family. She was a truly special and unique woman who loved deeply and modelled strength and compassion. In addition to being one of the most talented doll artisans in the world, she was renowned for her artistic eye both in interior and garden design. She was ahead of her time in so many ways. For the many that were privileged enough to be a guest at her table, her culinary and entertaining talents were unparalleled. It seemed like her mission in life was to enrich everyone’s life with beauty, and she did just that. Those that knew her will never forget her kind hearted generosity, spirited personality or the elegance with which she carried herself. Frances is predeceased by her husband Olivo in 1995. She leaves behind her daughter Janice (Claudio), son Paul, beloved grandchildren Anjelica, Alisa, Alessandro, her sisters Rose, Katherine, and Deanna and many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Our hearts are broken and we will miss our wonderful mother and nonna for the rest of our days. We love you forever. A funeral for Frances will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 3141 Shaughnessy St, Port Coquitlam on Friday September 7, 2012 at 10:30 am
