          Richard Paul Haines

               1946 – 2010

Paul Haines of Richmond, BC left this life peacefully

at 11 a.m. on October 20, 2010.

He is survived by his devoted wife Gail,

loving daughter Amanda, mother Marjorie,

sister Janice, brother Dale and wife Ulla,

niece Miranda, nephews Ryan and Brad,

and great-nephew and great-niece, Julian and Natalie.

Never one to back down easily from a fight,

Paul will be remembered most for his strength,

bravery and most of all, his sense of humour

and zest for life even in his last days.

He taught us that there is joy in every part of life, even death,

and that it is never too late to find your way.

He filled our lives with music, love and above all, laughter.

We will all shine on, Paul…like the moon, and the stars, and the sun.

And somewhere over the rainbow, we will meet again.

Tribute :Dear Daddy- I will miss you more than words can ever explain. I hope you know how much you were loved by all of us - most of all- me. I will never forget the many- many memories I have of you. Most special were our two trips to the Cloverdale Rodeo- which I had hoped would become more of a tradition in the future. It took us a very- very long time to be able to show and tell each other the things that we should have been able to do and say many years ago- but we finally got it right. You were my hero- my protector- and at the end- my very best friend. Thank you for making me the person I am today. Until we meet again- I will keep chasing those rainbows... Love always and forever- Amanda

Tribute :My Darling- What a journey we had and what we learned along the way. We had our good times and bad times but we knew that Storms Never Last and the sun would shine again. You were the best part of my life and I am so thankful for our time together. You left me the greatest gift and that is Amanda through her you live on and every now and then I see you in her smile. I love you now and forever and one day we will meet at the end of the rainbow.
