BOUCHER – Andre (Andy)
Our beloved Andre (Andy) Boucher died peacefully in his daughter, Mary’s arms, Dec. 22nd. He was predeceased by his wife Molly, his brothers George and Joe, his sisters Angel & Rose, his son-in-law Tim, and his grandson Louis. He will be deeply missed by his children Pat, Carol, Mary, Jeanne (Donna), George (Pat), Rick (Maria), Louise (Joe) & Tony (Sharri), his brother Tony, his sisters Madeleine & Joan, his sister-in laws Lottie & Susan, his grandchildren, Andree-Marie, Michel, James, Aimee, Sydney, Brendan, Geordie, Deirdre, David, Keely, Teagan & Sam and his great grand-daughter Joyce, step-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, past co-workers and friends. Andre was born in Edmonton in 1920 to Jeanne-Marie & Oscar. The family moved to Vancouver where he lived for the remainder of his life. His fondness for music led him to join the chorus at Theatre Under the Stars where he met Molly, his cherished wife of 47 years. Together they raised eight children, three of whom were adopted, fostering a strong sense of family values and belonging. Andre embarked on a highly successful career lasting 44 years, beginning at Eburne Sawmills as personnel manager and then progressing to salary administrator for Canadian Forest Products (CANFOR) at their head office. Andre was a man with a generous and grateful heart devoted to his family and community. He was committed to contributing to community life at all levels by volunteering in such agencies as the B. C. Safety council, United Way and Church ministries such as visiting the sick and RCIA to name just a few. Andre enriched every life he touched. Prayers will be held at 8:30 p.m. Sunday December 28th at St. Mary’s Church at 5251 Joyce St. Vancouver, and the mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 Monday December 29th. In lieu of flowers you are invited to make donations to the Canadian Catholic Organization for Development & Peace (www.devp.org/) a woman’s house of healing called Talitha Koum House, or a charity of your choice.
