Our loving father passed peacefully on December 1st after a valiant battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Born in Oliveira, Portugal, he and his family moved to Vancouver, Canada from Limoges, France in 1972. A hard-working man who helped construct many Vancouver landmarks such as Knight Street & Arthur Laing Bridges, Burnaby/Eagle Ridge/VGH Hospitals, Vancouver Aquarium, Skytrain and Science World. His great smile, sense of humour and loving heart will be deeply missed. He was a devoted father and grandfather and is predeceased by his wife, Maria da Luz and survived by his children, Carlos Ferreira (Adozinda); Isabel Ferreira; Margarida Ferreira (David); Teresa Tallarico (Jack); along with his grandchildren Matthew, Sophia, Ava, Kayla, Marcus, Stefan and Gabriel. He is also survived by his brother Armindo Ferreira and sisters Idalina Ferreira Fernandes, Teresa Rodrigues Ferreira (deceased), Maria Ferreira Goncalves and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other family members in Portugal, France, Canada & USA. Catholic Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Portuguese Parish, 1423 East 13th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C. Viewing and Condolences from 10am to 11am, Rosary Prayers at 11:00am. Catholic Mass at 11:30am followed by Entombment at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. at 1:00pm.
