Born in Vancouver, BC, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015 in Vancouver, BC at the age of 79 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 60 years, Clara, his daughters Linda Woodley and Diana Walls, son–in-law Thomas Woodley, grandson Trevor James Walls, and numerous friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Fred and Georgina Welsh for all of their support. Jim had a lifelong love of animals and a passion for cars and racing. He, along with others, formed the British Columbia Track Racing Association (BCTRA) in 1958 and served as the President. He raced his #16 car until 1960 but continued to be involved in the sport for many years after that. Jim was inducted into The Greater Vancouver Motorsport Pioneers Society Hall of Fame in 2004. He was an Automotive Instructor at BCIT in Burnaby from 1980 until his retirement in 2001. He found his hobby in the restoration of Collector Cars.
