It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Dad & Grandfather. Julio was just 6 days shy of his 87th birthday. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Idalina and his 3 children, Joe (Ginny), Maria (David), Julio (Tina), 7 grandchildren, Jesse (Steffanie), Allison (Luke), Marisa (David), Alex (Hayley), Julia, Vanessa & Josh, 2 step-grandchildren Zak & Sydney and his ‘extra’ great grandson Leo. He started working for the CN Railway and then spent most of his career in the construction industry. He was a hard worker who came to this country for a better life and was very proud of his family and home. He had an ear for music and was a self-taught accordion player. It was not uncommon for him to break out in song. Julio will be remembered for his gentle loving nature, his sense of humour and ability to make people laugh. He never missed a chance to tell people he loved them. He will always be with us in our hearts. Julio’s family wishes to sincerely thank all who were involved in his care over the last few years including his physicians, the home support team and more recently the staff at Three Links Care Centre and all the family, friends and neighbours who have extended their support during this difficult time.
